BETTER HEAT DISSIPATION

Most rugged computers reduce the CPU to control heat loads – sometimes as low as 36%. Getac's thermal engineers developed unique ways to dissipate heat from the CPU area of the motherboard. Heat is dissipated to fluid-filled copper tubes – keeping the processor cooler and operating at near full power.

HOUSING MADE IF MAGNESIUM ALLOY

Only Getac designs and manufactures its rugged notebooks and tablets, including the housing. All Getac rugged devices use four independent housing structures, each made of magnesium alloy – for rugged notebooks and tablets that withstand drops, bumps and other impacts.

TESTED

Getac's rugged notebooks and tablets undergo a series of daily stress tests. They are tested in such a way that they should never be used under normal circumstances. Getac deliberately destroys them to find their limits – that's how Getac engineers make future products even better.

CERTIFIED ROBUSTNESS

An internationally recognised research, development and evaluation laboratory certifies that Getac notebooks and tablets meet or exceed MIL-STD-810H, MIL-STD-461G and IP ratings. Most tablets also have ATEX certification for use in potentially explosive atmospheres.
